Meet The Team
Fox Creek Animal Hospital is far from your “average” Veterinary Hospital. We are THE Fox Creek Team filled with passion for helping animals. We LOVE what we do and want to make sure your pets recieve the best care that they truly deserve!
Dr. Ashley Boyd
Dr. Boyd was raised here in Ocala Florida on a true working thoroughbred horse farm. Even as a young child she knew that she was meant to be a veterinarian. On the farm, she was able to surround myself with animals of all kinds (in fact Dr. Boyd even had the privilege to ride and handle three horses that ran in the Kentucky Derby!).
Dr. Boyd attended Oak Hall High School in Gainesville and then continued and received my Bachelors in Biology at Stetson University. She later returned to Gainesville for vet school to attended University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated with honors in 2006 (Go Gator’s!).
After school, Dr. Boyd began her exciting career at Companion Animal Hospital with Dr. Doug and Susan Lammers for the following 11 years. Eventually filling the Medical Director position when VCA Animal Hospital bought the practice.
Through the years of practice, Dr. Boyd found her niche in veterinary medicine. She loves her clients and patients and wanted to create an environment where herself, her team, and the clients could work together as one unit (like a family) making their pets’ lives better. The idea for Fox Creek Animal Hospital was created March 2016. A very long 1.5 years later; all of the love, energy and even some tears finally paid off when Fox Creek Animal Hospital’s doors opened on December 9th 2017. To all of Dr. Boyd’s clients and patients… Welcome home!
Dr. Casey Donohue
Dr Donohue grew up in New Jersey where she spent her years raising all sorts of small animals. Throughout her undergraduate years spent at The University of Rhode Island, and Veterinary school at Ross University and NC State she fell in love and pursued food animal medicine. After graduating she moved to Florida with her fiancé and their two dogs, to pursue the next veterinary adventure. After working for a year with food animals, she also found a strong love for small animal medicine- specifically ophthalmology and dermatology. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her Yorkie, Bruizer and yorkie-mix Sophie Marie, as well as her fiancé Mike. She also loves to paddle board and kayak. When she is able, she loves to travel and see her family who are back in New Jersey.
